The organisers of Australia’s new Disconnect festival are looking to bring a taste of the European festival format, where it’s more than just about the music, to Western Australia this December, with a stacked lineup and plenty of extracurricular activities.
Kicking off this huge assortment of local and international performers are Chet Faker and Flight Facilities, who’ll be joined by Father John Misty, Neon Indian, Mercury Rev, Meg Mac, The Jungle Giants, Tkay Maidza, Goat, Optimo, and Julia Holter.
This brand new three-day camping extravaganza will be held in the beautiful Fairbridge Village and will offer art, comedy, burlesque, vaudeville, adventure, and heaps more in the midst of a historic village just an hour south of Perth.
In addition to the the killer lineup, full programs are being developed for The Mess Hall, which will offer gourmet breakfast and superb coffee in the morning as well as hosting “Big Ideas for Breakfast” talks, spoken word in the afternoon, and a full comedy program in the evening.
As for accommodation, camping is included in the ticket price. Campers will be able to set up their spot beside their vehicle and camper vans are also welcomed. For a more comfortable and unique experience, there’s a limited range of retro cottages that can be hired.
