The Vans Warped Tour 2013 lineup is expanding yet again, as organisers make new additions each of the punk and hardcore festival’s six legs taking place around the country this November and December.

Following on from the Canberra leg being bolstered with three more Aussie bands, the first of a touted six announcements, the latest additions come in the form of Sydney, Coffs Harbour, and Canberra, each date getting a handful of local acts to join the Warped lineup, alongside international acts The Offspring, Simple Plan, Millencolin and Reel Big Fish, along with homegrown heroes like Parkway Drive, The Amity Affliction, and Hands Like Houses.

The second date of the Warped Tour 2013 trek, Coffs Harbour on 30th November, is getting God Coast progressive metalcore outfit, Prepared Like A Bride. With their brutal vocals juxtaposed with melodic guitars, the five-piece have supported the likes of Impending Doom, For The Fallen Dreams, and House Vs Hurricane off the back of two independent releases; their 2010 debut Within World’s Apart and last year’s A Dangerous Journey EP.

The Sydney leg of Warped Tour 2013, on 1st December, has been beefed up with the addition of two acts. UNFD signees Hellions are an up-and-coming group from West Sydney who have a road-hewn live show following touring their debut album, Die Young, released in September.

Joining them on the bill is For All Eternity, who deliver epic breakdowns, quaking double kick drumming, and fret-scaling shredding. The four-piece have just completed a tour in support of their latest release Beyond The Gates as special guests to Saviour’s Australian tour.

Last but not least in the Warped Tour 2013 lineup additions is for Canberra, on 6th December, which will see two acts join fellow ACT artist, Hands Like Houses.

Fronted by powerhouse vocalist Tegan Rogers, Atlantis Awaits have found a sizeable following since first forming in 2009, releasing their debut EP to rave reviews and playing to over 8,000 people on their first ever national headline tour. Also confirmed for the Canberra leg is Drawing North, and the five-piece will be “performing 6 new songs” at Warped according to a recent Facebook post.

UPDATE 7/11: The Melbourne Warped leg, taking place on 7th December, will be getting two extra bands on the bill. Modern metalcore five-piece Feed Her To The Sharks will take to the stage with a monster set featuring tunes from their new album, Savage Seas, with lead tracks ‘Memory of You’ and ‘Buried Alive’ already earning the group mass attention on Youtube and immediate airplay on national and local metal and hardcore radio shows.

Joining Feed Her To The Sharks, and fresh off the back of national tour supports for both Anberlin and The Maine, is Masketta Fall, with their dedicated fans – aka ‘Masketeers’ – pouring out to see the band.

UPDATE 8/11: The sixth and final Warped Tour 2013 lineup announcement has added two more acts to the Adelaide leg, held on 8th December as the final date of the punk festival. South Australian melodic deathcore group Far West Battlefront mix the atmospheric grandeur of Deftones with the brutal attack of Bring Me The Horizon, and are joined on the Adelaide bill by Sierra. The Mt Gambier-based five-piece released their eponymous EP in February and have since toured with the likes of Heights, My Children My Bride, Oh Sleeper, and The Story So Far.

The lineup additions are little solace to punk and hardcore fans over in Perth, with news that plans for Warped sideshows in the WA capital had “gone to shit” according to promoter AJ Maddah, citing financial costs and travel logistics as putting an un-fixable spanner in the works for headline shows from Warped bands in the city.

The news follows the second Warped Tour 2013 lineup announcement, which is likely to push the Melbourne leg into a sell-out. Following on from announcing a change of venue in Melbourne to avoid a clash with Stereosonic patrons, putting the event back in Birrarung Marr, Maddah reported that “just under 3,000″ tickets were left for the Melbourne Warped. “I really thought Sydney would sell out 1st,” tweeted outspoken promoter AJ Maddah.

Warped Tour attendees have also been offered the chance to jump the queues at the gates, while still feeling good about it, by dropping off a donation at the Warped entry points as part of the Warped Tour Food Drive.
