In news to bring a smile to anyone’s face, 64 year-old Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister is premiering his movie Lemmy at this year’s SXSW Film Festival which begins in Austin, Texas this March.

The film is co-produced by Greg Olliver and Wes Orshoski, and shot on a combination of 16mm and HD film.  Lemmy features interviews with friends, peers and admirers such as Dave Grohl, Slash and Steve Vai and is said to set the record straight on a number of rumors and myths regarding Lemmy’s lifestyle.

Dave Grohl summed it all up “Fuck Keith Richards, fuck all those dudes who survived the 60s flying around in Lear jets living up their gunslinger reputation as they fuck supermodels in the most expensive hotel in Paris. You know what Lemmy is doing? Lemmy is probably drinking Jack and Cokes and writing another record”.

Tone Deaf has it on pretty good authority that Lemmy’s flat in Los Angeles has the walls covered in his extensive collection of Nazi memorabilia – we’d like to see him explain that one in the doco.
