Prophets Of Rage are back with their first song in almost a year, releasing ‘Made With Hate’ overnight.

Back in 2016, Prophets Of Rage – a supergroup comprising of members of Rage Against The Machine, Cypress Hill, and Public Enemy – unleashed their debut EP, When The Party’s Over. Following it up with their self-titled album the following year, fans have been waiting for new music ever since.

Back in July of 2018, Prophets Of Rage revealed they had finished their new record, while discussing the impact of their first album and what the future held for them.

“As far as I’m concerned, it was a great imprint of us as a band,” bassist Tim Commerford explained. “We made a record, and it was an imprint in time, and we did that.”

“And we’re on to another record now; we’ve already finished a 13-song record that we are just in the process of just putting together at this moment in time. So there’s a lot going on.”

While we did receive the song ‘Heart Afire’ just days later, things have been quiet ever since, with guitarist Tom Morello out on the road with his solo project.

Now though, it looks like things are about to heat up, with the band dropping their latest single, ‘Made With Hate’, overnight.

Originally previewed during last year’s ‘The Ballot Or The Bullet’ video (which featured snippets of unreleased tunes), ‘Made With Hate’ is a furious number, armed with lyrics that describe the rise of fake news and political apathy in the Donald Trump era.

“This is not a drill, this is fascism, it is here, poised as a government takeover threat,” Chuck D warns at the end of the song. “Your region of the world, it is not alarmist to say these things. It is simple truth.”

While there’s no word yet as to when we’ll receive the new Prophets Of Rage album, fans are undoubtedly getting excited with the release of this latest track.
