Every day we’re faced with an onslaught of album announcements so we thought we’d start sharing the soon-to-be-released love by putting together a list of the most notable and exciting album announcements on a weekly basis.

Death Grips
NO LOVE DEEP WEB

Death Grips have put behind them the shitstorm that surrounded the self-release of their grossly acclaimed sophomore No Love Deep Web, which consequently saw them dropped from their previous label Epic in 2012.

The terror-trio of experimental hip-hop have since pulled up their socks allowing for an official release of one of 2012’s boldest records.

Timing seems to be of no issue to the Sacramento brutes, having freshly released their third LP online entitled Government Plates. Don’t worry, the album art for this record isn’t as…daring.

No Love Deep Web is out November 22nd November on Thirdworlds Records

Tracklisting:
Come up and get me
Lil Boy
No Love
Black Dice
World of Dogs
Lock your doors
Whammy
Hunger Games

Strangers From Now On
Strangers From Now On

It’s been a monstrous year for the band, who are gearing up to release their self-tilted debut EP in a couple of short anticipated weeks.

Having supported the likes of the wall-of-sound giants My Bloody Valentine, local heroes and definite influence The Drones not to mention apart of the Australian contingent of ATP, the admiration chasing the Strangers is completely warranted.

The quartet at present is working tirelessly in the studio to produce another piece of dark enigmatic beauty set for early 2014.

Strangers From Now On is out November 22nd on MGM Distribution

Tracklisting:
1. Midnight Town
2. Ugly
3. Porajmos
4. It’s All So Beautiful (Isn’t It Lach)

Metronomy
Love Letters

Two years have passed since the public heard any new music, and now Joseph Mount is back. Not losing any of the glowing warmth and ear worm melodies that makes Metronomy’s sound so distinct, Love Letters is more developed, further evolved – Joe Mount excels in his lyrics and song writing delivering what sounds like a truly classic record.

Recorded at Toe Rag studios in London; an analogue studio traditionally known as a home for rock’n’roll acts such as The White Stripes, Love Letters tries to do fresh things in an old-fashioned way. It takes richer methods of recording and injects them with the shock of the new – of tight electronics, and experiments in sound. It does so not to be retro, but to embrace the quality standards of the past – aiming to be up there with the greats, reaching for those old stars.

Love Letters is due for release March 10 2014 via Elektra Records.

1. The Upsetter
2. I’m Aquarius
3. Monstrous
4. Love Letters
5. Month of Sundays

10. Never Wanted

Dappled Cities
Many Roads

Cherry-picked from hundreds of treasures and obscurities amassed by the band throughout their decade-long career, it serves as both a ‘thankyou’ to fans and the signal of a new era.

Through a brilliant ten-year career, they have been nominated for multiple ARIA awards, lived in New York and London, toured the world and toured with the likes of LCD Soundsystem, Modest Mouse, Death Cab For Cutie, Silverchair, and on and on.

The Jezabels
The Brink

With The Jezabels there’s always a twist, and they delight in toying with the darkness that somehow cloaks us all and yet channel it into songs that are layered with bright, chiming seams of pop.

Their second album was summoned from a dark place and comes after the outstanding success of their masterful trio of debut EPs and then their first long player, Prisoner, which catapulted them from indie kudos to full blown mainstream success (No.2 album, the Australian Music Prize Best Album award and a staggering, eight ARIA nominations).

The Brink is an album of songs that manifest all of those emotions into vaulting ambition. It is an utterly fearless record of youthful optimism achieved through hard won experience, taut with gleaming hooks, indelible melodies, all hammered out by a tight-knit band through dark days in a strange new city.

The Brink will be released January 31st 2014 independently through MGM Distribution.
