The dress code for next year’s Big Day Out will be short skirts and long jackets if the latest Big Day Out lineup rumours are to be believed. The infamous BigDayOutSpy has unleashed an onslaught of lineup additions over the past few days, including Cake who last toured Australia in 2005.

New additions also include hipster darlings Odd Future, The Killers, System Of A Down, Opeth, as well as local favourites Karnivool, Architecture In Helsinki, and Cut Copy. All the rumours seem at least plausible, with System Of A Down announcing recently they’d be playing live in South America, and The Killers finishing up work on a new album.

How these rumours stack up with early suggestions Prince and Queens Of The Stone Age would be performing is interesting. Meanwhile a new Twitter account has popped up claiming to be ‘therealbdospy’. But with suggestions like N*E*R*D who recently headlined Pyramid Rock Festival and that Harvest Festival is about to fall over we’re taking more than a grain of salt with this one.

The lineup (if all these pundits are to be believed) so far looks as follows:

Radiohead
Prince
The Killers
Cake
System Of A Down
Underworld
Opeth
Odd Future
Architecture In Helsinki
Karnivool
Cut Copy
Queens Of The Stone Age
Chase & Status
My Chemical Romance
Foster the People
The Shins
Cage The Elephant
The Decemberists
Florence and the Machine
Josh Pyke
The Vaccines
Boy and Bear
