The Australian Recording Industry of Australia’s night of nights is set for next month and following on from announcing the full list of ARIA Awards 2013 nominees, a list of the Aussie acts that will be performing live at the ceremony has been unveiled.

The 27th Annual ARIA Awards ceremony is to be held at The Star Casino on Sunday 1st December, following a week of live gigs and celebrations for ARIA Week, and will feature live performances from a number of bands and artists that are up for gongs at the annual Awards ceremony.

Most notably, Sydney beatmaker Harley Streten, better known by his globally recognised moniker Flume, who will be performing live at the ceremony where he is likely to boost his trophy cabinet with one of the eight ARIA nominations he’s up for, the most of any artist. Plus, he’s already taken home the Producer of the Year ARIA Award at the Fine Arts & Artisan Awards last month.

Just behind Flume in the nominations pool are psych-rock majors Tame Impala, with seven nominations, and fellow Perth-bred outfit Birds Tokyo, with six, and both bands will also be performing at the 2013 ARIA Awards. Kevin Parker and his Tame Impala cohorts will likely perform a cut from their second album Lonerism, which has already earned the five-piece Album of the Year honours in their home state, one of four wins for the band at the recent WAM Awards 2013.

Meanwhile, don’t be surprised if Birds Of Tokyo perform ‘Lanterns’, the song that’s seen them crowned as the most played act on Aussie radio in 2013, taken from their chart-topping album March Fires, which debuted at #1 upon its release in March, helping put frontman Ian Kenny into the history books in combination with his other outfit, prog powerhouse Karnivool.

Another ARIA Chart success gracing the stage at December’s ceremony is Bliss N Eso, the hip hop trio had one of the highest selling sales debut of the year for Circus In The Sky, which is also up for the Best Urban Album of the Year ARIA.

Melbourne singer-songwriter Vance Joy may not have released an album yet, but he’s had a breakout year, which will be capped by a live performance at the ARIA Awards 2013. Also performing at the ceremony will be pop singers Jessica Mauboy and Samantha Jade, Brisbane’s Sheppard, The Potbelleez, Stafford Brothers, and DJ-come-electropop star Alison Wonderland.

Preceding the 27th Annual ARIA Awards will be the return of the ARIA Week of special events and live music, which debuted of the first time last year with series of concerts from the likes of The Rubens, Alpine, Bertie Blackman, and The Trouble With Templeton that also injected $1.4 million into local economy, according to Minister For Tourism, Major Events and the Arts, George Souris.

This year’s ARIA Week 2013 lineup includes Glass Towers, The Delta Riggs, Apes, and All The Colours for Inertia’s party at the Oxford Art Factory, a Triple J Unearthed showcase at the same venue featuring Jackie Onassis, Safia, and Remi (who are all up for the station’s annual J Awards), as well as a Chugg Music party with a bill featuring Deep Sea Arcade, Lime Cordiale, Sheppard, and (on loan from Rare Finds), BONJAH.
