And we thought it couldn’t be done! Even MORE acts have been announced for Bluesfest 2013.

Aussie and Kiwi acts were only announced last week and including some of our finest with The Cat Empire, Xavier Rudd, Beats Of Bourbon and so many more being added to rep us for the festival.

On top of local acts, there have been several HUGE announcements in previous months about what is sire to be one of Australia’s most impressive festival line ups of all time.

From iconic acts such as Led Zelleplin’s Robert Plant, guitar legend Santana, rock ‘n’ roll iconsIggy & The Stooges and master wordsmith Paul Simon to modern classics like Wilco and Dropkick Murphys, this is the lineup that just doesn’t quit!

As Festival Director Peter Noble has already enthused in our feature interview, the Easter music festival promises to be the hottest ticket in town

Latest announcements include the multi-platinum American rock band, Counting Crows: one of the most soulful and recognizable bands of the past two decades. With Grammy and Oscar nominations, over 20 million albums sold worldwide, eight top 5 singles, and three records having broken the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 Counting Crows success dates back to their 1993 debut release August and Everything After and the hit single “Mr. Jones.”

Along with the Crows will be The Lumineers who are climbing from strength to strength. With  a couple of sold out tours across the US, appearances on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno & Conan O’Brien and huge Microsoft Bing commercial sync, the band are sure to put on one hell of a live act for Bluesfest punters.

Rounding out the latest additions are two time Grammy winner Taj Mahal, London trio Kitty Daisy  & Lewis, Ben Harper’s solo show and more. For a full list of the newly added artists and the entire lineup, take a look below.
