The Good Life Festival 2014 lineup has been announced and with the Future Music Festival spin-off event now under the auspices of Mushroom’s Frontier Touring, the underage festival is going national.
Australia’s biggest under 18s music festival has until now been hosted in Melbourne and Sydney, but as the event returns for 2014 for its fifth edition, it’s now expanding to two new cities, with Brisbane’s and Perth’s younger musical et now able to enjoy the mammoth lineup, which once again draws from Good Life’s big brother, the Future Music Festival.
Headlining the Good Life Festival 2014 lineup is one of the biggest names in dance music, Deadmau5, with the million-dollar earning artist dropoubg his latest compilation We Are Friends Vol 2 on 11th November, he’s joined on the lineup by the ticket scalper-pranking rap duo of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, one of the year’s biggest success stories as one of the highest paid rap acts in the world thanks to the huge success of their global hits ‘Thrifts Shop’, ‘Can’t Hold Us’ and ‘Same Love’.
Also on the Good Life Festival 2014 lineup is London party-starters Rudimental, as well as the recently crowned #1 DJ in the world, Hardwell, Aussie superstars Knife Party, American EDM favourite Kaskade, as well as Porter Robinson, Bauuer will make you ‘Harlem Shake’ (the most streamed track of 2013), along with Swedes Dada Life, and Dutch producer Martin Garrix.
Also on the bill is homegrown heroes like Will Sparks – returning from sold out US and European tours, festival favourite Timmy Trumpet, and Sydney MC Kerser. As well as performances from Chuckie, R3HAB, Arty, Toneshifterz, Uberjak’d, Slice N Dice, Will K and many more providing a day’s worth of tunes across multiple massive stages.
The Good Life Festival 2014 will continue the event’s proud tradition of having an impeccable safety record for its punters aged 13-17, with some of the strictest entry policies in the world ensuring patron safety.
Parents can rest assured their kids are in safe hands: Sydney’s inaugural 2013 event was highly praised by Police, who applauded festival organisers and the excellent behaviour of punters. Measures include ID and bag checks, breathalysers, metal detectors and zero tolerance towards contraband or alcohol.
There’s plenty to enjoy besides the music, making Good Life Festival 2014 a summer party, complete with free carnival rides, a water theme park (hello 50m waterslide and foam pit!), 2 on 2 basketball and dodgeball comps, plus market stalls, chill out zones, a food court with lotsa healthy options and a whole lot more.
Taking place in its regular locations in Melbourne and Sydney, and for the first time adding Brisbane and Perth legs (sorry Adelaide), tickets for Good Life Festival 2014 go on sale today (Friday 1st November) at 6pm local time in each state. Full details below.
