Kingswood Groovin The Moo 2014 Sideshows have been announced.

The Melbourne rockers have already been announced as one of the Aussie highlights on the Groovin The Moo 2014 lineup, and now Kingswood have announced a trio of East Coast shows to follow-up their dates with the regional music festival, called the Funk In The Trunk tour.

The tour continues what has already been a huge start to the year for Kingswood, which has included blazing the Big Day Out stages across the country alongside Pearl Jam and Arcade Fire, a national beach tour with Calling All Cars, and their track ‘Ohio’ ranking at #53 in this year’s Triple J Hottest 100.

Now the Melbourne four-piece are set to release ‘Suckerpunch’, the lead single from the band’s forthcoming debut album, set for release in June 2014. ‘Suckerpunch’.

‘Suckerpunch’ follows the success of ‘Ohio’ and ‘She’s My Baby’, riff-toting rock taken from their new LP, recorded with Grammy-award winning producer Vance Powell in Nashville USA, which promises to leave a powerful, unparalleled print on the current rock landscape.

The Funk In The Trunk tour will celebrate the release of ‘Suckerpunch’, and puts the band in the fast lane for 2014 that will match the successes of the last 12 months. Last year saw Kingswood release the Change Of Heart Deluxe EP, debuting at #3 on the AIR 100% Album chart and sitting in the Top 20 for 40 weeks and counting.

The four-piece then joined the touring circuit with Grinspoon as well as international heavyweights Aerosmith. Their short film, ‘Some Motherfucker’s Gotta Pay’, was received to critical acclaim, followed up by an AIR Award nomination for Best Rock Album and a nomination for Rolling Stone Magazine’s ‘Patron Reader’s Choice Award’.

The news of the Kingswood Groovin The Moo 2014 Sideshows arrives following similar tour announcements from fellow GTM-billed acts, including UK dance duo Disclosure, NZ synth-rockers The Naked And FamousUK grime scamp Dizzee Rascal, New York indie duo Cults, Melbourne singer-songwriter Vance Joy and mighty electro duo The Presets.

Meanwhile, the regional tour has already announced its first sell-out date, with tickets now completely exhausted for the Bendigo leg of Groovin The Moo on its 10th Anniversary trip this April/May.
