With exactly one month from today until its official kick-off, the Groovin The Moo 2014 lineup has expanded.

The annual regional music festival has this afternoon added a new batch of additional artists join the impressive mix of local and international artists on the 2014 lineup as the winners of the Triple J Unearthed competition are revealed, with each of the six winners playing at their respective hometown Groovin The Moo 2014 leg.

Playing the opening date of the festival, at the newly-added South Australian date in Oakbank, is soulful electronic trio Flamingo. The Adelaide three-piece’s synth-laden tunes have seen them support the likes of  Bonobo, Yacht, Classixx, Rüfüs, and fellow Groovin The Moo-billed act, The Kite String Tangle.

Newcastle indie rock four-piece The Patriots can “get real naughty live” and will get to prove as much when they play Maitland Groovin The Moo on Saturday 26th April. The next day, in Canberra, will see ACT outfit Sweet Shoppe delivering their punk rock tunes (inspired equally by B-52s and Midnight Oil!) to the audience.

The sold out Bendigo leg will be treated to a mixed dose of punk, hardcore, and emo delivered by Central Victoria quartet Outlines. Lost Boys have the honour of hitting the Townsville stage, wielding their tunes that mix the best parts of alt-rock and indie pop.

Rounding out the new additions to the Groovin The Moo 2014 lineup is Margaret River’s The Acitones. Shipping out to Bunbury, the sextet – which includes twin sets of brother-sister musicians – play psych-filtered rock in the vein of fellow WA legends Tame Impala and list Grizzly Bear as a big sonic influence.

While today the Groovin The Moo bill gains six new additions, earlier this month it had one name scrubbed from the bill when US rapper Action Bronson pulled out of the festival and accompanying sideshows “due to unforeseen circumstances regarding recording commitments.” (Re: making his major label debut.)

In more positive news, Groovin The Moo has already completely exhausted tickets for the Bendigo leg of the festival, which this year celebrates its 10th Anniversary trip this April/May, while a number of artists on the lineup have announced Groovin the Moo 2014 sideshows.

They include the wildly popular UK dance duo DisclosureNZ synth-rockers The Naked And FamousUK grime scamp Dizzee Rascal, New York indie duo Cults, Melbourne singer-songwriter Vance Joy, rocking quartet Kingswood, and mighty electro duo The Presets.

UPDATE 26/03: Emerging Aussie hip hop star Allday has also been added to the Groovin The Moo 2014 lineup today, replacing Action Bronson on the regional touring bill. The cheeky rapper also put together a cheeky video announcement for his part on the GTM bill. Watch below.
