The will he or won’t he turn up saga of Mos Def’s Australian tour was finally resolved on Saturday night when he turned up at the Hot Barbecue Festival in Portsea, south of Melbourne, with just minutes until he was due on stage. After making excuses as to why he’d blown out gigs in Auckland, Hobart, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, and then being busted partying with Prince and Sharon Jones in Brooklyn, New York during the week he finally made it to Australian shores.
Now that he’s here, an additional Melbourne date has been announced for Sunday 30th of January at Billboard in Melbourne, with tickets on sale now from www.moshtix.com.au. This is in addition to the already advertised dates.
