Possibly one of the greatest additions to Australia’s festival calendar in recent memory, Harvest Festival has been informed today that Foxy Shazam has been forced to cancel their performance due to commitments in the UK.

The band played at this years Soundwave and obviously impressed festival promoter AJ Maddah as he invited them to return for the inaugural festival. Clearly frustrated by the bands decision to pull out, Maddah jumped onto his favourite soapbox Twitter saying:

After numerous fans asked if he’d consider rebooking Foxy Shazam for another date Maddah replied:

Their replacement, which we expect to be announced in the next few weeks, will be joined by the likes of Portishead, The Flaming Lips, The National, Mogwai, TV On The Radio, and more. In the meantime if you haven’t already bought tickets you better hop to it as tickets are apparently selling like hotcakes since the second lineup announcement was made a few weeks ago.
