Capitalism rears its head in strange, oft beautiful ways. Ozzy Osbourne has just announced that he will be releasing a plush toy to commemorate the 37th anniversary of the bat-biting incident.

Back in 1982, The Prince of Darkness infamously bit the head off a bat whilst performing in Des Moines, Iowa. The bat corpse was launched on stage by 17-year-old Mark Neal. It has been reported that Ozzy, whilst under the influence, believed the bat to be a rubber toy. It was only after he had made a meal out of it that he realised that it was… very real.

“Today marks the 37th Anniversary since I bit a head off a f*cking bat,” Osbourne shared in an Instagram post. “Celebrate with this commemorative plush with detachable head.”

Ozzy Osbourne will be heading to Australia in March for Download Festival. Lineup and ticket information below:
