Mötley Crüe‘s Nikki Sixx has given an update on Ozzy Osbourne following the legendary rocker suffering a series of health setbacks of late, including being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in January this year.
Responding to a fan’s question on Twitter that asked how “Uncle Ozz” was doing, Sixx didn’t beat around the bush regarding Osbourne’s ongoing health problems.
“Someone said he isn’t doing good health-wise. That makes me sad,” he said, adding, “We love him.”
Despite Sixx’s concerns about the Black Sabbath rocker, Ozzy Osbourne recently told fans via his wife Sharon’s television show The Talk that he was “getting better” after a number of setbacks that – along with his Parkinson’s diagnosis – included undergoing surgery to repair an old injury from an ATV accident, ongoing nerve pain, suffering pneumonia, and contracting staph infection in his right hand.
“It’s a slow process, but I’m getting there slowly but surely,” he said on The Talk.
Ozzy Osbourne and Mötley Crüe first became pals after the latter supported the rock legend as the opening act for his 1984 Bark at the Moon tour.
Sixx reflected on the Prince of Darkness’ wild antics in his 2001 memoir The Dirt, which included a story about a time Ozzy had run out of cocaine and decided to snort ants and while wearing a woman’s dress.

“I handed him the straw, and he walked over to a crack in the sidewalk and bent over it,” Sixx wrote. “I saw a long column of ants. … And as I thought, ‘No, he wouldn’t,’ he did. He put the straw to his nose and, with his bare white ass peeking out from under the dress like a sliced honeydew, sent the entire line of ants tickling up his nose with a single, monstrous snort.”
“Then he hiked up the sundress, grabbed his dick and pissed on the pavement. Without even looking at his growing audience … he knelt down and, getting the dress soggy in the puddle, lapped it up. He didn’t just flick it with his tongue, he took a half-dozen long, lingering and thorough strokes, like a cat. Then he stood up and, eyes blazing and mouth wet with urine, looked straight at me. ‘Do that, Sixx!’”
Sixx then urinated in public but added that Ozzy happily licked up the fresh puddle.
“I threw up my hands,” Sixx said. “You win.” He later said that the band didn’t know “whether [Osbourne’s] antics were evidence of a wicked sense of humour or a severe case of schizophrenia.”
