At the 2026 Grammy Awards, Post Malone delivered an incredible tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne, belting out “War Pigs” onstage as the rock legend’s family looked on with visibly raw emotion.
Legendary guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan from Guns N’ Roses joined him on stage, as well as Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, and producer Andrew Watt.
Osbourne’s wife, Sharon, and his children, Kelly and Jack, were seated in the audience during the performance, at times fighting back tears as the iconic Black Sabbath song echoed through the arena.
The lineup for the tribute reflected personal and professional ties to the late “Prince of Darkness.” Post Malone had collaborated with Osbourne on tracks like “Take What You Want” and “It’s a Raid”, while Watt played a key role in producing Osbourne’s final albums. Slash, McKagan, and Smith similarly had worked with Ozzy over the years, making the moment a deeply meaningful celebration of his legacy.
Osbourne passed away in July last year at age 76 after battling Parkinson’s disease, just weeks after headlining what was billed as Black Sabbath’s final show in Birmingham, England. The Grammys tribute came after other commemorations of the late icon, including a high-profile performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last year.
Earlier in the day, Yungblud took home Best Rock Performance at the Grammys, for his take on Osbourne’s “Changes”. This performance took place at ‘Back To The Beginning’, the farewell show at Villa Park, England in 2025.
“To grow up loving an idol that helps you figure out your identity not only as a musician but also as a man, it’s something that I’m truly grateful for. But then to get to know them and form a relationship with them, honour them at their final show and receive this… we fucking love you Ozzy,” he said while accepting the award on Sunday night in Los Angeles.
