Bluesfest gave us the most welcome shock of our lives when they announced that Patti Smith would be returning to Australian shores for the 2020 instalment of the festival. For those who can’t make it to Byron Bay, you will not be deprived of your dose of punk poet laureate. Patti and her band will be playing four special shows in Melbourne and Sydney.
Smith will conquer the stage of Sydney’s Enmore Theater on Wednesday, April 15th and Thursday, April 16th before she heads to Melbourne for two shows, one on Tuesday, April 21st and the other on Wednesday, April 2020.
Presale tickets for the shows go on sale on October 24th at 10 am. General tickets will go on sale Monday, October 28th, 10 am. These tickets are destined to sell like bloody hotcakes, and who knows when we can expect Smith to next grace this country.
