The Peep Tempel have spent close to a decade carving out their own unique niche within the Aussie rock scene. Now, after countless shows, and three albums, the band are going on hiatus, but not before they play one final Aussie tour.
Under a year since the release of their third record Joy, and a few weeks after being labelled “Melbourne’s most dangerous band” following their “stabbing punk rock” performance at Splendour In The Grass, The Peep Tempel are deciding to take a break for a while. Of course, their time away will leave a huge void in the Aussie music scene, which is why the band want to make sure they go out with a bang.
Announced today, the Melbourne trio’s Totality Tour will see them play a run of intense shows, with the group hitting up the east coast this October, before a hometown farewell performance at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre in November. The first two dates of the tour will see The Peep Tempel playing with legendary Aussie punk band The Victims this weekend in Perth and Fremantle, but the rest of the country will have to wait another couple of months.
Undoubtedly, this is going to be one heck of a tour, with plenty of the band’s fans taking the opportunity to bid them farewell for a little while, so you’ll want to get in quick for this one.
