One of Melbourne’s most exciting upcoming songwriters Gena Rose Bruce recently teamed up with the Downtown Tracks crew to produce this stunning stripped back version of ‘Call Girl’ in front of a pretty spectacular backdrop.

‘Call Girl’ is a fresh cut from Gena’s stunning debut EP Mad Love (which is out now). Having recently shared the stage with local legends such as Bonjah, Timberwolf, and the Pierce Brothers just to name a few, the talented songwriter is is making serious waves with her live shows and evocative vocals.

Downtown Tracks began mid 2012 by film maker Josh Harper in Brooklyn, NYC. The concept of DDT has evolved from telling the story of a street musician to producing live sessions with an emphasis on a documentary style.

Harper has taken the project wherever he goes, through America, his old hometown of Sydney and currently his new home of Melbourne. All live sessions use location audio, mixed by Harper, filmed over multiple takes. If you like what you’re seeing and hearing pop by the Downtown Tracks Facebook page for more clips.
