The latest recruits on everybody’s favourite local label, Ivy League Records, Sydney’s Palms have now unveiled the variegated, Technicolor marvel that is their ‘Beatdown’ music video, a delicious, one minute and thirty second piece of rock candy you’ll be picking out of your teeth for days.

This tantalising slice of thrash pop is taken from Palms’ eagerly anticipated sophomore record, which is set for release later this year. Recorded with their buddy Owen Penglis (Royal Headache, The Grates, Straight Arrows), you’ll need some mental floss to get the tune out of your head.

“Hopefully it makes whoever’s listening to it feel good and want to jump around the room, or have a boogie, or hurl something at the wall, or go give someone a bunch of flowers, or whatever they like. I can’t control people. Yet,” singer and guitarist Al Grigg explains.
