Geelong based garage rockers Velvet Bow are today unleashing their summery new surf pop gem ‘Bombora.’ It’s a sun drenched, upbeat ode to the Victorian surf coast from which the five-piece band originates.
Comprising of three guitarists, snare filled percussion and the balance of male / female vocals all make for a chaotic yet technical fuzzy, surf rock influenced sound.
The foundations of the band’s undeniably authentic, laid back sound stems from hours of bedroom recordings help carry the band’s playful, coastal sound.
Recorded locally by Zac Barter (Canary, Life Is Better Blonde) and with production by Steven Schram (San Cisco, Paul Kelly) the new track is an excellent progression from the band’s 2013 single ‘Hang Me Out To Dry’ and 2015 release ‘Streetlights’.
