Before his untimely death in 2016, Prince was working on a memoir with Paris Review editor Dan Piepenbrig. The Beautiful Ones was released yesterday and features a scathing hot take on two pop monoliths — Ed Sheeran and Katy Perry.

In the book, Prince expressed his disdain for the artists, sharing “We need to tell them that they keep trying to ram Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran down our throats and we don’t like it no matter how many times they play it.”

Honestly, Prince, I agree babe. I just want to live in a utopic society where I’m never exposed to ‘Shape Of You’ ever again.

The Beautiful Ones is out now.

In other news, earlier this month the estate of Prince claimed that Donald Trump broke an agreement by playing ‘Purple Rain’ during a campaign event during his appearance at Prince’s hometown of Minneapolis.

A longtime, Jeremiah Freed shared a tweet stating that“The Prince Estate has never given permission to President Trump or the White House to use Prince’s songs and have requested that they cease all use immediately.”

It isn’t a rare occurrence for Donald Trump to be flamed by musicians for using their music. In the past year alone, both Axl Rose, and Rihanna, have hit out at the maniacal politician, demanding that he refrain from playing their music at his events.
