Valencia Love, the suburban mum who posted the $100,000 bond for R. Kelly is looking for a refund. Love posted the bond following Kelly’s arrest on 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and is now looking to get that cashola back in light of his recent indictment.

The bond bought R. Kelly four months of freedom before he was arrested again on federal charges.

As The Chicago Times reports, Love’s attorney, John Collins, has filed a motion seeking the return of Love’s money. Collins told Cook County Judge Lawrence Flood that Love was unaware of the federal investigations in New York or Chicago.

Flood denied the motion, as there was no legal basis for it.

Love is the owner of several restaurants and a childcare facility called the Lord and Child Christian Day Care — eek! Her relationship with Kelly remains unclear, but she has claimed to be his “friend.” She has also passionately defended Kelly about the accusations that have been brought against him.

“At no point have I ever supported a pedophile,” Love shared. “He has not been convicted yet. Why is it so bad that I did a favor for a friend?

“Let him have his chance in court to prove if he’s innocent or guilty. As a friend if he says he’s innocent, I can only believe that he is innocent.”

In February, R. Kelly was charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse, followed by an additional 11 counts of sexual assault and sexual abuse in May.

He was arrested on July 11th, the arrest included a thirteen-count indictment on charges related to child pornography and obstruction of justice. A separate five-count indictment was also handed up from the Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn that charges him with racketeering.

Kelly’s allegations of sexual misconduct have been public knowledge for years, however, the case picked up steam this year following the release of the documentary Lifetime documentary, Surviving R. Kelly.
