Aussie rock icons Regurgitator are hitting the road later this year, announcing an absolutely mammoth tour in celebration of their 25th anniversary.

Regurgitator are one of those bands who are so ubiquitous within the Australian music scene that it’s hard to believe they’ve been around for 25 wild years.

First forming back in the early ’90s, the group released a handful of EPs before the launch of their debut album, Tu-Plang, in 1996. By 1997 though, they were on top of the world, releasing their iconic Unit album, and becoming icons of the genre in no time.

Since then, the band have released seven more studio albums, in addition to their debut kids’ album as part of their Pogogo Show side project earlier this year.

However, as time marches on, the group’s 25th anniversary has finally arrived, with the band announcing a mammoth Aussie tour to celebrate the milestone.

Kicking off at the start of October, Regurgitator will be performing a marathon 21 dates over the next two months, with a handful of festival appearances thrown in the mix.

Supporting the group on the majority of this tour will be none other than Japanese pop punk veterans Shonen Knife, who will also be performing at the Lost Lands festival in Victoria.

Underrated Aussie rock legends The Fauves will also be tagging along for the ride, having just released their first album in seven years. Harking back to the days of 1998’s Caveat Emptour with the sadly-defunct TISM, Regurgitator and The Fauves are a match made in heaven for local rock fans.

It all kicks off this October, so be sure to hit up Regurgitator’s website for ticketing info, and wish them all the best for another 25 years.
