Savannah in the Round just locked in two major names for its 2025 edition, with US powerhouses Zac Brown Band and Jackson Dean leading the charge as international headliners.

Taking over Mareeba in Queensland’s tropical north this October, the fest already had a solid stack of Aussie talent lined up — but the addition of these two country heavyweights cranks the whole thing up a notch.

Zac Brown Band, the Grammy-winning Southern rockers are set to make their long-awaited Australian return. With over 30.5 million singles and 9.3 million albums sold globally, plus 11.2 billion streams to their name, they’ve built a rep as one of the most successful and consistently epic live acts on the planet.

Their stats are wild — three Grammys, 16 No. 1 radio hits, and a record-breaking streak of sold-out shows at Fenway Park — and now they’re bringing that fire to the outback for the first time.

Joining them is Jackson Dean, the Maryland-born breakout star behind the country-rock hit “Don’t Come Lookin’,” which not only hit No. 1 on U.S. country radio but also landed on the Yellowstone soundtrack. He’s racked up over 150 million streams and pulls over 1.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, all before turning 25.

Dean dropped his debut Greenbroke in 2022, followed by On the Back of My Dreams in 2024, and has quickly become one of the genre’s most talked-about rising names thanks to his gravel-soaked vocals and rough-edged storytelling.

Festival director James Dein said the lineup additions are a huge get. “We are beyond thrilled to announce Zac Brown Band and Jackson Dean as our U.S. headliners for Savannah in the Round 2025,” Dein said.

“Zac Brown Band’s legendary status and Jackson Dean’s meteoric rise in the country music scene are the perfect fit for our eclectic lineup. Together, they’ll create an unforgettable experience for festival-goers in the stunning Tropical North.

“We can’t wait for the Savannah tribe to welcome them to our stage!”

They’ll join an already stacked lineup of locals including James Reyne, Kasey Chambers, Daryl Braithwaite, James Johnston, Casey Barnes and Baby Animals, along with Canadian faves The Washboard Union and The Road Hammers.
