Former Slipknot percussionist Chris Fehn is fighting tooth and nail to pursue a lawsuit over band profits.

Fehn left the band back in March, launching a lawsuit against Slipknot based on claims that he had not received proper payment during his time in the band. According to Fehn, he was informed that the money that Slipknot makes travelled through one company which paid the group’s members what they were owed.

However, Fehn claims that his bandmates set up other business entities that also collect money from the group’s activities. Fehn appealed for an audit to be undertaken on the band’s finances, and to be paid the “damages and profits” he claims he is owed.

A motion was filed by Slipknot business manager Robert Shore to dismiss the case against the band. However, court documents obtained by The Blast have revealed that Fehn has requested that the judge deny the motion to dismiss.

In related news, dedicated Slipknot fans appear to have tracked down the identity of the mysterious new member set to replace Fehn. Theories have been circulating around Reddit, after a photo of an unidentified man leaving a hotel with guitarist Mick Thomson surfaced. The theory is based entirely on the man’s shoes, which were identical to those worn by the masked mystery member on stage.
