The 1994 track from Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds’ Let Love In album just keeps on giving.

Snoop Dogg has become the latest in an ever-growing list of artists to cover ‘Red Right Hand’ and if I’m honest, his take on the brooding original kinda works?!

The reimagined version of the classic – and the Peaky Blinders theme tune – was shared by The BBC over the weekend.

“By the order of the Peaky Blinders,” the rapper says. “This is ‘Red Right Hand’ by Snoop Shelby.”

When it’s come to ‘Red Right Hand’, we’ve seen covers by PJ Harvey, Laura Marling, Arctic Monkeys and more take on Nick Cave’s words and deliver them in their own way.

The popularity of ‘Red Right Hand’ grew exponentially with the phenomenon that has surrounded Peaky Blinders over the last five seasons. This year, an official two-day festival went down in Birmingham in the UK, featuring live performances by Liam Gallagher, Primal Scream, Anna Calvi and Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes.

The event also featured cast Q&As, staged bare-knuckle fights, a fashion show and free haircuts to get punters into the Peaky Blinders style.

The fifth season of Peaky Blinders wrapped up this month, with reports indicating there are at least another two seasons of the hit crime drama in the works already.
