When Splendour In The Grass announced their 2019 lineup back in April, our attention immediately deviated towards the “mystery oz act” on the poster. We all hoped and hypothesised that it would be a reunion of massive proportions. The names, Powderfinger, Silverchair, and Savage Garden were all thrown into the mix, whilst others were certain The Middle East would return for a triumphant one-off festival set.

Splendour has finally revealed which mysterious Aussie act with be tearing up The Amphitheatre, and honestly, if you thought this latest season of Game of Thrones was anticlimactic, you might need to take a seat.

Northern Beaches psych-rock royalty Ocean Alley has been revealed as the mystery act. We have no doubt that there will be mass anthemic singalongs incited when they tear through their Hottest 100 chart-topper ‘Confidence’, but we’re a little disappointed. To be honest I just assumed that they were on the lineup already. Check out who they’ll be joining with the full lineup below.
