The Stereosonic 2014 lineup has been announced and has been the tradition for Australia’s biggest dance music festival, the lineup is massive.
Once again taking on an expanded two-day format after the success of last year’s edition, the Stereosonic 2014 lineup is stacked with blockbuster EDM acts, returning favourites, international stars, and a sharp collection of local acts.
Day One of the event will be headlined by super Scotsman Calvin Harris, DJ Tiesto, Major Lazer master producer Diplo, ‘Turn Up For What’ hit-maker DJ Snake, and a DJ set from Brit Award winning duo (and Aussie favourites) Disclosure.
Day Two is topped by dubstep linchpin Skrillex, making good on his return Down Under after he had to cancel on his appearance at Stereosonic 2013. He’s joined by headliners Alesso, Steve Aoki, Showtek, Dash Berlin, and ‘Special Guest’ Carl Cox.

The Aussie contingent is mightily impressive too, including Flume side-project What So Not, Will Sparks, Peking Duk, The Aston Shuffle, LDRU & Yahtzel, and holding up the female presence in a dominant male setting: Alison Wonderland and Nina Las Vegas.
Other internationals on the Stereosonic 2014 lineup include Duke Dumont, Porter Robinson, RL Grime, Booka Shade, Laidback Luke, W&W, Orjan Nilsen, and the Australian debut of New World Punx – the new project from Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten (who are both also playing).
Tickets go on sale to the general public from Tuesday 5th August, while a Ticketmaster member pre-sale kicks off today (Wednesday 30th July).

Stereosonic 2014 is also repeating last year’s weekend-long format (which inspired Soundwave’s expansion to two days) – running two coastal events concurrently. The opening weekend for this year’s edition will see Sydney and Perth running simultaneously on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November.
The following week will see the lineup headed to South Australia for Friday 5th December, before the Saturday sees Adelaide, Melbourne, and Brisbane all running Stereosonic 2014 on the same day – a potentially nightmarish logistical situation that organisers pulled off to great success last year.
