Time to die by sexy all over again, people. Josh Homme and Jesse Hughes, the two love machines behind Eagles of Death Metal, have returned with a brand new album, Zipper Down, which is slated to drop Friday, 2nd October, but you can stream it now in full below.
Zipper Down is the follow-up to 2008’s Heart On and featured 11 tracks, including the previously unveiled ‘Complexity’, which has been gaining serious traction on Double J, as well as ‘Got a Woman’, and most recently, the catchy ‘Silverlake’.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Homme joked that the new record was released as a response to terrorism. “We put out a record and human rights are better, the world feels better, people make more money, there’s less anger, people are more respectful to women and to homosexuals…” he said.
“I just think at the end of the day we don’t really take ourselves that serious, you know?” he later added. “That just means that tons of desire and passion for music goes into making it, but we also realize that the best possible scenario for fans of music is when you’re kind of like, ‘Don’t worry about it. It’s cool, man.’”
