Opening in September, Club York is Sydney’s latest live music venue.

The 450 general admission capacity venue is located in the heart of the CBD at 99 York Street.

Run by the people at Code One, the venue will be fitted out with new production, and is hoping to offer a wide range of shows to a diverse audience.Code One are no strangers to running venues, this is their seventh in New South Whales. However it is their most central one yet.

Just a couple of blocks away from Town Hall Station, the venue is right in the centre of Sydney. It will also be offered in various different modes – from General admission, to dinner and theatre style options of seating.

This is an exciting change following the closure of many small Sydney live music venues over the past few years. Venues such as the Newtown Social Club, and The Basement have been shutting down recently, making it hard for many acts to book suitably sized venues. Club York will be a valuable asset to local bands as well as smaller international bands touring.

Being run by the already established Code One brand also means that the venue is likely to be a success. The company is responsible for several other venues, multiple artists, and various Australian festivals. With an already large client and customer-base, it looks like they’ll smash it.

You can look forward to catching shows at Club York from September onwards!
