Being a musician takes skill and practice, mostly the latter. We’ve all heard about that 10,000 hours rule, which was in fact inspired by the amount of time The Beatles spent playing and rehearsing in Hamburg.
Even musicians who aren’t exactly known for their spectacular technical chops still put in the hours rehearsing to nail their performances and developing a style that’s unique to them. Take Johnny Ramone, for example.
But then there’s those that don’t feel like putting in the work and decide to go out there and do it anyway. And then there’s those players we know have the skill, but just made some really horrible choices.
