The Simpson Desert has never seen a lineup this big.

The Big Red Bash has announced their festival bill for 2019, set to bring the likes of Paul Kelly, Tim Finn, John Williamson and more out to one of the most remote areas of the country.

With 20 artists set to appear, the Big Red Bash hits a new record with its biggest festival bill yet – when you look at this one in terms of stats, the lineup boasts over 100 albums and 25 ARIA Awards collectively.

There’s a whole lotta respected talent on this one.

The Big Red Bash is a huge boost for the local tourism in the Birdsville district, with over 9,000 people flocking to the desert for the festival event.

Started in 2013, The Big Red Bash has been home to some of Australia’s most celebrated country and rock bands, performing in front of the famous 40-sand dune, ‘Big Red’.

“I was there for the first Big Red Bash,” John Williamson has remembered. “I’m looking forward to returning again to a festival and event that celebrates our beautiful country with a great line-up of entertainers. This is just another reason I encourage everyone to go and explore our big backyard.”

The event is family friendly and dog friendly too, with punters having the opportunity to camp at the event and children under the age of 11 being able to attend for free.
