Having celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2014 and enjoyed a well-earned year off in 2015, the Gum Ball Music & Arts Festival is feeling refreshed and rejuvenated and is ready to make its triumphant comeback to the Hunter Valley bushland this April.

Returning to Dashville on 22nd April and running till 24th April next year, the popular, family-friendly camping event will return for it’s biggest year to date, which is saying something considering 2014’s huge Hodoo Gurus-topped lineup.

“In 2014 it was pretty overwhelming after all the work we had put in, to see how well the festival had grown over its 10 years, not in size but in quality,” said organiser Matt Johnston.

“A lot of people were bummed that we had a year off, but after some great rest and recovery we are excited to be bringing it back, better than ever.”

The Gum Ball 2016 will run with a similar format to previous years, with live music over two stages for two nights and three days, including the popular silent disco and Sunday breakfast wind down.

Thanks to some recent site improvements, organisers are anticipating that further inclusions will be added to the festival program over the coming months to complement Dashville’s growing space.

Earlier this month, the Dashville team launched the first instalment of their new Americana-themed event dubbed Dashville Skyline. The festival was a huge success, receiving positive accolades from punters and critics alike.

Meanwhile, the Gum Ball’s April date is set to coincide with the last weekend of the school holidays, which is also the ANZAC Day long weekend, making it one of the go-to family destinations on the Aussie festival calendar.

Early bird tickets for The Gum Ball 2016 festival will be released in early November, with a first round lineup expected to drop later in December. Stay tuned to Tone Dead and we’ll have the full lineup when it drops.
