Melbourne fans finally get their chance to go down memory lane with The Middle East in January.

The Middle East did what a lot of fans thought they’d never do this year – they reunited. Getting back together for Spunk Records’ anniversary show at the Sydney Opera House as part of Vivid Live earlier in the year and then bringing the magic to Brisbane in September, the band relived the passion of their old music, while also teasing new music that has yet to see the life of day too.

Now, The Middle East has announced that they will be bringing the music to the east coast once more, this time heading for Melbourne in January.

Set to play The Forum, The Middle East are going to be hitting the stage with an expanded set up – including string quartet and additional players – to give Melbourne fans the experience they’ve been waiting for for nine long years.

Along with their Vivid Live appearance, The Middle East’s memory enjoyed resurgence and celebration internationally, with Mumford & Sons collaborating on a powerful cover of ‘Blood’ with Gang of Youths during their recent European tour.
