It’s finally happening, punk fans, with The Offspring announcing they’re set to release their long-awaited 10th studio album in early 2020.
For quite a while now, we’ve been wondering when The Offspring might release a new record. In fact, back in April of last year, the group said they would “definitely” unleash album number 10 in 2018.
However, things seemed to change, with guitarist Noodles telling Tone Deaf late last year that now only was the new album still on the way, but they had been “looking at making two records” instead.
In February of this year, we received the biggest news to date, with Noodles revealing to fans that “the album is done,” and that they were “working on getting it to the fans now.”
In August though, things seemed a little bit rocky when it was announced that the band had split with founding bassist Greg Kriesel, leaving fans to wonder when – or if – we would ever receive their first record since 2012.
Now, Noodles has revealed that things are back on track, with the new record seemingly set to be unleashed in early 2020.

Speaking to Halifax Today, the founding guitarist revealed that the future is looking bright for the band, and noting that fans will get a chance to hear new material from their new record soon.

“The artwork needs to be done and we have a rough track listing,” he explained. “We’ve even gone and done more music since.
“We just need a distribution deal, and we want that done by the end of the year. Then we can release early next year.”
While it remains to be seen when the group will receive their distribution deal, Noodles also didn’t touch upon the prospect of them releasing this second record they alluded to last year.
Whatever the case, we’re just keen to receive new music from the band, so we’ll stop being greedy and happily take any new album they’re willing to send our way.
