They have managed to play to a crowd of 20,000 at Madison Square Garden just three years after their inception, their party hit ‘I Love It’, featuring Charli XCX, has been coming through our speakers for months on end, and now they’ve come at us with their debut album THIS IS … ICONA POP.

Though you might think the genre is in the name, the Swedish duo have delivered a more EDM-influenced record, which if you love to get your drink and dance on, you will probably love.

It’s quite a short piece at only 33 minuted long, yet Anio Jawo and Caroline Hjelt have still managed to deliver a both bright and dark record with some non-stop partying anthem’s for today’s youth.

Still, despite the club party feel, maybe, due to the insane hype of ‘I Love It’, it seems the album doesn’t completely deliver.

The first half of the album is one dance track after another banger, but from ‘Just Another Night’  things begin to slow down.

In fact, from there, the party mood dies off, and what is left is not half as exciting as what they started off with.

Overall, while there are elements of strong emotions, fierce honesty and those classy dancefloor confessions, it’s not a complete and not a complete miss.
