Aussie chart-topping icon Tones And I is set to add another feather to her already-decorated cap next week, making her US TV debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
If you’ve been following the musical news over the last few months, then you’d be aware that Tones And I is – to put it lightly – something of a success.
Having become the first Aussie to top the ARIA singles chart in a year with ‘Dance Monkey’, the success just kept on coming for Toni Watson, hitting #1 in 16 countries around the world, racking up 500 million streams, and being nominated for seven ARIA awards.
The big news doesn’t end there though, with ‘Dance Monkey’ currently equalling Ed Sheeran’s 15-week record of most time spent atop the Aussie charts, and being just one week away from taking out the all-time record. Not bad for a humble muso from Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, eh?
Now, there’s a chance that Tones And I will be able to celebrate a massive ARIA record in some fine company, with the musician set to make her US television debut next week when she appears on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
At the current time, Tones And I is nearing the end of her first-ever European headline tour, having sold out all dates.
Next week will see a pair of US shows take place ahead of a trip home to play the Spilt Milk festival, before a run of New Zealand dates kicks off the new year ahead of an appearance on the 2020 Laneway Festival lineup.

However, it all kicks off from there once again, with a US and European tour keeping Tones busy until at least April of 2020.
Needless to say, we’re only witnessing the beginning of one what is shaping up to be one of the most historic careers in Australian music history.
