Kicking off with a live recording of Cut Copy’s gig at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall, triple j are tonight launching a live concert series on ABC2. This latest music broadcast compliments their existing stranglehold on indie radio and recent diversification into 24-hour online streaming with triple j Unearthed digital.
In contrast to the unsigned artists getting a run on triple j Unearthed the new 12-week series, triple j presents, features concert performances of more established artists including Queens of the Stone Age, Stonefield, Drapht and Foster The People.
Airing every Tuesday at 10.15pm means there will finally be something halfway decent on the box in a traditionally dead hour; if you’re in bed by then, or actually out seeing real live music, the programs will be available for catchup on ABC iView and for download through the triple j live music vodcast. Pretty bangin’ hey?
