As per usual, triple j has spent the last week delivering some absolutely amazing tracks to your ears, with amazing Aussie acts getting plenty of spin, while sharing the spotlight with our international friends as well. With so many amazing artists and songs floating around the airwaves, it can be a little hard to keep track of what we’ve been listening to over the week.

Well, thanks to our friends over at J Play, you don’t have to worry about not knowing who the most popular artists on triple j are each week any more.

20. Hands Like Houses

Hands Like Houses are gearing up to release their new record Anon. next month, and to celebrate, they decided to drop their new single ‘Monster’, back in August. Understandably, fans have been going wild for it, and the tune is currently the 19th most-played track on the station.

19. Bring Me The Horizon

Bring Me The Horizon dropped their newest song, ‘Mantra’, a while back, and fans have been going wild over the group’s return. With their new album, amo, set to drop in January and an Australian tour also on the way, the group currently have this week’s tenth most-played track, and you can expect to only see them go higher.

18. Wafia

Everything we’ve ever heard from Wafia has turned out to be a piece of pure perfection, and her latest track is no exception. Titled ‘I’m Good’, it’s not only the 17th most-played track on triple j this week, but another sign of the brilliance still to come from this stunning muso.

17. Jungle

It’s been over four years since Jungle released their stunning debut album, so the group figured it was about time to make a long-awaited return. With their new album, For Ever, recently serving as triple j’s feature album, and ‘Heavy, California’ currently this week’s 18th most-played track, fans have been hearing more and more of the English collective’s new record and absolutely loving it.

16. Khalid

Khalid’s American Teen was only released back in 2017, but already the young muso is looking ahead to album number two. Having recently released his new jam, ‘Better’, the tune is the eleventh most-played track, and it’s set to only go higher.

15. Holy Holy

Acclaimed duo Holy Holy recently returned with their new single ‘Faces’, and triple j listeners are being reminded of why they love these two so much. With a new tour on the way next month, ‘Faces’ is this week’s eighth most-played track, and we’re bound to be hearing plenty more of it.

14. Tash Sultana

It’s been a long time coming, but Tash Sultana recently released her long-awaited debut album, Flow State, and fans have loved it. Having served as triple j’s feature album, listeners were treated to plenty of previews of this stunning full-length ahead of its release, and it clearly resonated with music lovers around the world, with ‘Free Mind’ currently this week’s seventh most-played track.

13. San Cisco

San Cisco are currently in the middle of a huge tour with Ball Park Music and Ruby Fields, so they decided to give fans a little something extra to scream out from the crowd. Titled ‘When I Dream’, this single is on track to be a big one, currently serving as this week’s sixth most-played tune.

12. Peking Duk

Fresh from serving as one of the headlining acts from the recent One Night Stand, Peking Duk have been getting plenty of love from triple j lately. Even with dropping a couple of new tracks earlier this year, we don’t appear to be any closer to getting a full-length from these lads. Here’s hoping that’s going to change soon enough!

11. The Presets

The Presets released their first album in almost six years, Hi Viz, earlier this year and fans have been loving everything they’ve heard. Full of the brilliant hits that we’ve come to know and love from the lads, the album is on track to be one of the year’s biggest, with ‘Martini’ serving as the station’s twelfth most-played track this week.

10. Skegss

Skegss released their long-awaited debut record My Own Mess recently, with triple j giving it the feature album treatment as well. Understandably, fans have been loving this absolute belter of a release, with tracks ‘Smogged Out’ and ‘Stop’ scoring endless amounts of love from their dedicated fan, with the latter serving as this week’s ninth most-played track.

9. Nothing But Thieves

Nothing But Thieves might have wrapped up their Aussie tour a few months back, but fans are keeping the English rockers at the forefront of their minds. With ‘Forever & Ever More’ serving as this week’s fifth most-played track, triple j listeners are keen to hear plenty more from this stunning quintet.

8. Alex The Astronaut

Alex The Astronaut has been having a pretty amazing couple of years, but with a stellar spot on triple j’s One Night Stand recently, this brilliant artist has easily made quite a number of new fans. With ‘Waste Of Time’ the 20th most-played track this week, and a new tour set to kick off next month, Alex The Astronaut is about to bring her brilliant tunes to the people once more.

7. Thundamentals

Just a year after the release of Everyone We Know, Thundamentals are back with their latest record, I Love Songs. An album of love songs above all else, this record sees the group showing off their softer side, while never straying away from that stunning ability to captivate listeners at every turn. With ‘Everybody But You’ currently this week’s 13th most-played track, we reckon this album might end up on a few mixtapes for people’s crushes.

6. Eves Karydas

Eves Karydas has been on the scene for a number of years now, and has been delivering the goods ever since she first the airwaves. With singles like ‘Couch’ doing the rounds recently, she’s just announced her debut album, summerskin. While ‘Damn Loyal’ is scoring enough airplay to become the fourth most-played track this week, you can be sure you’ll be hearing more of Eves Karydas in the future.

5. LPX

Lizzy Plapinger rose to fame as the lead vocalist of MS MR, but in recent times she’s become better known as LPX. Having released her debut EP earlier this year, LPX has just unleashed a new single, ‘Might Not Make It Home’. Currently this week’s third most-played track, this one is a stunning tune that’s resonating with listeners all over.

4. Stand Atlantic

Sydney trio Stand Atlantic have been ticking all the boxes lately, releasing brilliant pop-punk tunes that have been resonating with their rapidly-growing fanbase. With their single ‘Lavender Bones’ serving as this week’s second most-played track, you can be sure you’ll be hearing plenty more from these folks in the future.

3. GLADES

GLADES have been blowing up over the last year, seeing massive success thanks to their wide array of brilliant tunes. With ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ currently serving as this week’s most-played track, you can expect to hear even more of GLADES in the future!

BROCKHAMPTON released their new album, Iridescence, just a while back, and it’s an absolute belter. With the group having just wrapped up an Aussie tour (and filming two music videos here as well), listeners have been loving the vast amount of brilliant tunes this stunning collective have been offering up. Needless to say, there’s a good chance BROCKHAMPTON will be remaining one of the most vital hip-hop groups for quite some time.
