Ho hum. At listening parties around Australia, music fans were reminded of why Triple J is pretty boring when the station’s listeners voted Angus & Julia Stone’s ‘Big Jet Plane’ as the number one song in the ‘Hottest 100’. Showing that there’s no accounting for taste amongst the population at large, the brother/sister act (who seem so close it’s just a bit creepy) took out the accolade, beating Little Red’s ‘Rock It’ and Out Est Le Swimming Pool’s ‘Dance The Way I Feel’ to the top spot. Birds of Tokyo, Boy & Bear, Adrian Lux, Cee Lo Green, The Wombats – Tokyo, Art Vs. Science and Mark Ronson & The Business International rounded out the top 10.
