The music world was recently made aware of a number of serious allegations of sexual abuse against Jeordie White (best known as Twiggy Ramirez, the now-former bassist for Marilyn Manson). Now, days after the allegations were made public, White has broken his silence, and making his first statement in regards to the matter.

On Saturday, Jack Off Jill singer Jessicka Adams took to Facebook to share her painful experiences with Jeordie White, who she had previously dated for a period of time in the ’90s.

“He forced me on to the floor with his hand around my neck. I said NO. I said NO,” she wrote. “I said it so loud enough, that [my friend] Pete came rushing in from the other room to get him off of me. But I had been raped. I had been raped by somebody I thought I loved. That night I slept in Pete’s bed and cried myself to sleep. Neither of us discussed it until years later as we both had our own shame about not reporting it.”

Adams also continued by saying how she was pressured into not speaking out about the incident by her record label, who seemed to infer that this would be a rather poor career move for her. “In 1997, I was warned by my band’s record company that if I revealed my story publicly, there would be a very good chance that my band Jack Off Jill would be black balled by concert promoters, radio programmers, and other bands and their managers,” she claimed.

Yesterday, Marilyn Manson made his first statement in regards to the incident, stating: “I knew Jessicka and Jeordie had a romantic relationship many years ago and I considered and still consider Jessicka to be a friend.”

“I knew nothing about these allegations until very recently and am saddened by Jessicka’s obvious distress.”

Manson also shared a post on Facebook yesterday in which he announced that Jeordie White is no longer a part of the band, and will be replaced for any upcoming shows that the band play.

As Pitchfork report, Jeordie White has now shared his first statement in regards to the allegations made against him. “I have only recently been made aware of these allegations from over 20 years ago,” he wrote. “I do not condone non-consensual sex of any kind.”

“I will be taking some time to spend with my family and focus on maintaining my several years of sobriety,” he continued.

“If i have caused anyone pain i apologize and truly regret it.”

While Jessicka Adams is yet to respond to White’s statement, she did Tweet a message of thanks to Marilyn Manson yesterday for his stance on the issue. “Thank you. I am truly at a loss for words,” she wrote, following news that White is no longer part of the group.
