Following a rise in the political climate as the United States grows ever closer to the upcoming presidential election, Twisted Sister guitarist Jay jay French has spoken out against Donald Trump.
Throughout the United States, both citizens and musicians alike are speaking out against the current sitting president due to what has been called his vast negligence to contain the continuing coronavirus outbreak, plus his lack of leadership throughout his term.
While Bruce Springsteen has asked for Trump to show consideration for those close to him by wearing a mask, Skid Row’s Sebastian Bach has taken an approach towards voters, saying that only morons vote for Trump.
Now, Twisted Sister guitarist Jay Jay French has used his public platform to state his opinion on the leader, asking his fans to remember the importance of voting come the November election.
Shouting out on Twitter, French stated: “Trump is a functionally illiterate racist. We must dump Trump in November to save the Supreme Court!”

Continuing on, he also reminded followers to wear facial masks, as the coronavirus cases in the United States push a massive 2.75 million positive cases: “And please, WEAR MASKS!! It protects you and me.”
This statement follows frontman Dee Snider’s comments, noting that “only morons follow a single party blindly,” where he stated: “I’ve looked many politicians on both sides dead in the eye…they are not in politics for the greater good. They are there for their own good.”

Additionally, the Twisted Sister member has previously criticised Trump on his lack of control during the global pandemic, noting “a lot of this could have been avoided.”
“I mean, certain things were inevitable — the virus was coming, sickness was coming, death was coming. That was inevitable, but the way it was handled, many deaths could have been prevented and we could have been ahead of things instead of behind things. Right now, it feels like, in my country, that we’re constantly trying to catch up to the virus as it does what it does. This could have been very different, but we didn’t learn from the lessons of others, unfortunately.”
