If you’re worried about missing out on seeing U2 when they make their long-awaited return to Australia this year, you’d better jump on the newly-released bunch of tickets to their Melbourne show.
Late last month, U2 revealed that they would be bringing their highly-anticipated The Joshua Tree tour to Aussie shores.
Supported by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, the tour is set to be the band’s first in almost a decade, and will feature the Irish rockers performing their iconic 1987 album in full.
While the massive demand in tickets saw a second Sydney show announced, fans in Melbourne have been anxiously watching the ticket levels in their hometown, hoping that the gig doesn’t sell out before they get a chance to score their pass.
Now, they’ve just been given an extra chance.
Announced earlier today, Live Nation have revealed that they’ve released a handful of extra tickets for the Friday, November 15th performance from U2 at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium.
Noting that U2’s touring “schedule [is] now complete”, this means that Victorian fans won’t be treated to a second show, and will want to jump on these new tickets while they have the chance.
As it stands, the last time U2 visited Australia was back in 2010 for their 360° Tour. Since then, that tour has become the highest-grossing run of shows ever, grossing a total of $736,421,584.
Undoubtedly, this means that the group’s return to Australia will be one that you definitely won’t want to miss, so be sure to grab your tickets while you still can.
