Vampire Weekend have confirmed that the bands’ forthcoming studio album is finished and in the process of mastering. Frontman Ezra Koenig made the announcement before playing the final song of their Lollapalooza set.
Earlier this year the band gave us a glimpse of their new material with a performance of “Flowe Moon” at their gig in Ojai California. Check it out here.
Just a few days ago we speculated that the latest album could be dropping as early as next month. With Sony promising a “noteworthy project” from the group.
It’s been five years since the band released their last album, the critically acclaimed Modern Vampires Of The City. We can’t wait to see what this next project has in store.
