A Vance Joy Australian Tour 2014 has been announced, with the Melbourne singer-songwriter playing Groovin The Moo sideshows this April/May.
Having landed at #1 on the Triple J Hottest 100, Vance Joy’s 2014 is already off to a winning start, while his poll-topping, 4x Platinum single ‘Riptide’ has cracked the Top 10 in the UK after gaining momentum on the British charts earlier this year.
Having finished his first tour with Laneway Festival, and locked in for this year’s Groovin The Moo lineup, Vance Joy is now confirmed to play a series of headline shows in capital cities in Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and Melbourne that will orbit his Groovin The Moo performances.
Since it was released last year, love for ‘Riptide’ has steadily grown. In addition to a host of incredible local achievements for the Top 10 single, ranked by ARIA at #12 on a list of the Top 100 selling singles of 2013 – the highest selling by an Australian artist – international audiences have now jumped aboard the ‘Riptide’ train as well, with an impressive UK Chart and increasing radio airplay in the States. Vance Joy’s debut album is due for release in the second half of the year.
Having just finished up on the Laneway circuit, Vance Joy is now heading back to the UK and Europe, for sold out headline shows, before embarking on an extensive US jaunt in support of Young The Giant. Along with this, he will also appear at SXSW as one of a record-breaking 55 Aussie acts headed to the Austin, Texas music industry conference.
Joining Vance Joy for his Australian tour dates will be fellow SXSW jetsetter Gossling. Since releasing her debut album Harvest Of Gold last November to critical acclaim, Australia’s love for the Melbourne gal has continued to rise. In demand overseas as well as back home, the coming months will see Gossling touring the globe.
Talented Melbourne artist Teeth & Tongue rounds out this impressive line-up, at the request of Vance Joy himself.
