VB Hard Yards announce which bands are set to blow up stages across Australia

VB Hard Yards have been scouring the country for bands to take on tour around the country for a few months now. Today they’ve announced the lucky bands that will be touring the country with Alex Lahey, Tired Lion, WAAX, and RAAVE TAPES this October.

After being shortlisted, and surviving a public vote (with over 4,000 votes cast), Being Jane Lane, Paper Thin and Claws & Organs will hit the road this October. They’ll be sharing the stage with Alex Lahey in Melbourne, Tired Lion in Sydney, WAAX in Brisbane, and RAAVE TAPES in Newcastle.

VB Hard Yards aims to give the hard working bands of Australia a leg up, giving them a chance to play shows with new friends, in new places. The tour will see the bands play shows across the east coast of Australia with a bunch of massive local names.

Who are the bands?

Being Jane Lane

An all girl punk rock powerhouse, Being Jane Lane have already had an impressive start in their four years together. They’ve released an EP, three music videos, and previously won the People’s Choice category at the Gold Coast Music Awards. The band is currently working on their debut album.

Paper Thin

This group only got together two years ago, but already have two EPs behind them and have even played a few festivals. The NSW based three piece have all been putting in the hard yards, whilst keeping full time jobs.

Claws & Organs

This Victorian group have played nearly every stage in Melbourne over the past five years. After nearly breaking up, the band regrouped with a new member and are now stronger than ever.
