Miss Anthropocene has been out a week and the album is still continuing to unveil its intricacies.

Grimes has released a colourful set of visuals for her Miss Anthropocene album track, ‘Idoru’. The video – using a shorter version of the song – is vibrant and features Grimes dancing and singing, with images of anime and video game footage interspersed.

It’s the latest in a line of recent releases from Miss Anthropocene, with Grimes dropping the music video for ‘Delete Forever’ days out from the record’s February 21st release. ‘Idoru’ and ‘Delete Forever’ comes after the likes of ‘My Name Is Dark’, ‘Violence’ and ‘So Heavy I Fell Through The Earth’ – the full image of Miss Anthropocene coming together perfectly over the last few months.

On Instagram, Grimes shared her thoughts on the ‘Idoru’ clip and how it came to be.

“Technically this was a camera test that ended up being a weirdly emotional performance so..don’t expect the fanciest visual ever haha, but we noticed Idoru has become a fan favourite and I wanted to express my appreciation to y’all. This has been by far the most rewarding album release wk of my life/career etc. Not a day goes by where I’m not overwhelmed w gratitude that my passion is my work.”
