For quite some days now Korn and their friends at AdventureQuest 3D and AQ Worlds have been teasing a full concert from the band inside a video game. Now, the promise has come to fruition, and you can watch the full concert in all of its pixelated glory.

Korn have been quite the busy band, currently touring around with Alice in Chains as they set up to release their new album The Nothing in the coming months. As part of their album promo, they’ve decided to enter the worlds of AdventureQuest 3D and AQ Worlds, to play a full concert with digital versions of themselves. The concert acts as a mission in the game that you can participate in, where collecting ticket stubs and defeating bosses such as ‘Mega Dollageddon’ can fill your time as Korn thrash on in the background. It’s truly remarkable.

The full virtual concert took place on August 20th on all kinds of devices, but luckily multiple streamers were able to record the footage for our viewing pleasure. In the videos you can see the band playing well-known tracks such as ‘Freak on a Leash’, ‘Rotting In Vain’ and ‘You’ll Never Find Me’. The electronic performance that fuses real Korn voices with digital imagery is truly something to behold, as your character battles it away with strange-looking creatures in the so-called “pit”.

And yes, like most concerts these days, there was also a meet and greet after the show, and players who had pre-purchased the paid concert package were able to go backstage to take a selfie with the band. That’s no joke. Your digital avatar next to Korn’s digital avatars in some odd post-futuristic world where selfies still exist.

You can watch the videos in all their glory below, as streamers take on enemies throughout the duration of the concert.
