Apparently his role as a mentor on the UK version The Voice isn’t enough British tele exposure for Will.i.am.
Having reportedly struck up a friendship with Coronation Street actress Beverley Callard earlier in the year, and filmed his latest video clip on the show’s set, Will.i.am now fancies himself for a role on the show.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Will.i.am really angled for the role, perhaps sensing the 100% crossover rate between people who real the Daily Star, and those who watch Coronation Street: “It would be so cool if they would write a role for me on Coronation Street. It’s such a great show. I could have a relationship with somebody on there…that would be real cool.”
He has clearly thought about this quite a lot.
“I wouldn’t play a gentleman though. I’d want to be a comedy character. I’d be comedic. I’d want to be like Norris.”
Will.i.am has even fleshed out his character’s employment. “I’d rather work in the pub… in the Rovers”
